Automotive Air Conditioning Technician Course, 5 Days
What you will gain:

- Practical experience in repairing, using various air conditioning tools, checking system conditions, adding refrigerant, performing a vacuum check, inspecting for leaks, checking the electrical system, relays, fuses, coils, and cleaning the air conditioner both externally and internally.
- Installation practice of the electric air conditioning system in a real car.
Course Details:
- Day 1: Theoretical introduction to car air conditioning systems and calculation formulas. Practical measurement of system temperature and pressure, followed by calculations of BTU, COP, system efficiency, heat transfer, etc. Practical use of a notebook and multiple software programs for today's activities.
- Day 2: Practical checks on the electrical system, equipment, and various air conditioning components such as relays, fans, switches, and fuses using a multimeter. Connecting the refrigerant system.
- Day 3: Practical repair on real cars, using pressure gauges, vacuum pumps, various air conditioning tools, checking for malfunctions, adding refrigerant, vacuum checking, leak detection, electrical system checks, relay checks, fuse checks, coil checks, and external and internal air conditioner cleaning. Using OBD Scan tools on school-owned cars.
- Day 4: Practical repair of the electric air conditioning system in an older Mazda pickup truck, including modifying, connecting electrical circuits, connecting pipes, installing the cold coil, and installing the hot coil to make the air conditioning system work with the actual car.
- Day 5: Practical disassembly of the console air conditioner from a sedan, checking for leaks, disassembling the cold coil, testing for leaks using nitrogen, adding refrigerant, and reassembling to its original location.
Practice Cars: NETA Electric Car for parameter measurement and calculation, Mazda pickup truck for electric air conditioner installation, Honda City for refrigerant charging, adding water, and air conditioner cleaning, and a TOYOTA Prius for studying the hybrid air conditioning system.
Class size limited to 5 students, not exceeding 8.
Items to bring to class: Multimeter, wear high-voltage insulated electrician's gloves or safety shoes. On the first day, bring a laptop as various software programs will be used for calculations. If anyone wishes to practice on their car, bring it along.
Instructor: Dr. Songwut Krasaein, Ph.D. in Energy Engineering, Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering, former Norwegian government scholarship student, and university lecturer. The instructor, along with the Dako professional team, has hands-on experience in daily electric vehicle design, repair, and assembly. Students will receive a certificate from the company.
