Day 1: Introduction to PLC and Basic Principles (Basic Wiring and Programming PLC)
- Overview of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- History and evolution of PLCs
- Applications and industries using PLCs
- Basic components of a PLC system (CPU, input and output modules, power supply)
- Introduction to PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, Structured Text)
- Digital logic concepts (AND, OR, NOT, etc.)
- Input and output instructions, timer and counter instructions, mathematical and comparison instructions
- Practical exercises: Wiring control circuits for motor control, control cabinet, basic programming for controlling both DC and Stepping motors, and fundamental Ladder Logic programming.
Day 2: Intermediate PLC Programming Techniques
- Introduction to Function Block Diagrams (FBD) and Structured Text (ST) Programming
- Data handling instructions
- Advanced timer and counter instructions
- Using analog input and adjusting proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control
- Practical exercises: Applying advanced level control managers and algorithms using FBD and ST.
Day 3-4: Human Machine Interface (HMI) Programming
- Overview of PLC communication networks (RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, etc.)
- Introduction to industrial communication protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT, etc.)
- Configuring communication between PLC and HMI/SCADA systems
- Programming Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens
- Basic motor control motion concepts
- Practical exercises: Configuring communication between PLCs and HMIs, developing basic HMI screens, and using simple motor control functions.
Days 5: Automation PLC Programming
- Practical exercises: Writing PLC programs to control inverters for controlling AC motors, sensor control, and controlling mechatronics systems.
- IOT, practice how to control and monitor screen present long distance by mobile phone and computer of the automation systems. e.g.
1. Control the automatic water system and humidity ventilation through the Cloud.
2. Display temperature and humidity data of the mushroom house via Cloud with real-time monitoring through a Web Browser.
3. Record the historical data of temperature and humidity on the Cloud.
4. Display and control the system via a mobile app.
