History of electric motorcycles

Late 1860s: Reference to electric motorcycles. Evidence can be found in the patent as follows:

1911: An electric motorcycle based on a popular mechanics article.
1920s: Today forklift maker Ransomes explores the use of electric powered motorcycles. This development and others helped pave the way for the company to use mining cars and electric Lorentz.
Early 1940s: Fuel rationing in the United States led Earl Williams to convert motorcycles to electric power. This became the basis for the establishment of ParCar from Marketeer Company.
1941: The captive European fuel rationing encouraged an Austrian company by the name Socovel to create small electric motorcycles. Around 400 were produced.
1967: The first fuel cell powered electric motorcycle built by Karl Kordesch at the cult Union Carbide demonstrated the possibility of a fuel cell as a power source. This type of fuel cell is an allile type fuel cell that operates on the propellant propellant hydrazine.
1967: "Papoose", a small electric motorcycle prototype built by the Indian Motocycle Company under the direction of Floyd Clymer.
Early 1970s: Small mini bikes with small motorbikes were distributed. (mini motorcycle) Aurestetic Charger

1973: Mike Corbin sets the speed of a high-speed electric motorcycle to 101 mph.
1974: Corbin-Gentry Inc. starts selling electric street bikes.
Professor Charles E. McArthur took his first car on Mount Washington, NH on a Corbin electric motorcycle, the event has become an annual rally known as the "Mt Washington Alternative Vehicle Regatta".
1978: The Transitron-built electric Harley Davidson is manufactured in Honolulu, Hawaii.
1988: Eyeball Engineering creates Dragabyike KawaSHOCKi and is featured in major magazines.
1996: Peugeot Scoot'Elec is the world's first electric motorcycle factory.
Late 1990s: The EMB Lectra VR24 electric motor pioneered the use of variable reluctance (hence VR) motors and was marketed as a street law.
2000: Killacycle records a distance of 152 mph at 9.4 seconds (400 meters) at Woodburn Drags 2000, OR.
2000s Development of efficient lithium-ion batteries and electric motors (formerly for military applications) makes DC electric motors more feasible [12].
2007: A123 Li-Ion cell powered Killacycle sets a new quarter mile (400 m) record of 7.824 seconds and 168 mph (270 km/h) in Phoenix, AZ at AHDRA 2007. [13]
2008: The Electra Green from Orlando Tony Parker in Omaha, Nebraska was the first electric motorcycle made in the state of Nebraska.
2009 "The 24 Hours of Electricross", the first of all electric dirt racing.
(TTXGP) The first electric road motorcycle race took place on the Isle of Man.
The 2010 ElectroCat was the first electric motorcycle to climb the mountain and set a record time in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
